Happy Mother's Day weekend!!

Hope all the moms out there have a well deserved fabulous Mother's Day! I will spend my weekend getting crafty and with the family of course :} I've got some more goodies to show ya so, sit back and relax and take it all in!

I've got some more exciting news to share with you! I'm gonna try out for another DT over at Colorful Creations on Ning! They are an awesome group of girls over there so go and check them out here. If your interested in the DT Call you will need to hurry up and get yours in because it ends this Saturday night May 9th at midnight! I've got my fingers crossed :} On to some crafty stuff!

Below is a layout I did for a challenge over at Simply Scrapping Crafts on Ning as well. You had to use multiple of the same photo so I used some smaller black & white of the larger photo in this layout. It's of my daughter Finley sitting pretty on our porch for our Christmas pictures. This isn't the actual picture we used for Christmas, but it was a good one of her. I used mostly K & Company Carolyn Gavin Specialty paper, KI Memories lace cardstock, Fancy Pants stamps (hearts) rub ons & chipboard, Prima flower, Quickutz Silhouette (title). Love the colors on this layout!

This is a card also for a challenge at Simply Scrapping Crafts on Ning. We had to use accordion folding somewhere on a card or layout. I chose to use it in a border & as leaves above the flower. I used Kaiser Craft papers lace flower, pearl brad, lace ribbon & rub ons, Bazzill cardstock, Quickutz Silhouette rose shape for the flower. I cut out the individual rose layers on the Silhouette in two different sizes and then distressed and inked the edges. Then, layered them in different directions and attached them in the center with the pearl brad. Easy peasy!! Totally dig the colors on this card!! Now, who to give it to? You know your getting it Lisa don't worry!!

This next one was so fun to do because it only took about 30 minutes to complete! That's right people.....30 minutes!! That is a record for me for sure!! For NSD over at Simply Scrapping Crafts the challenge was to create layouts or cards in 2 hours and get them posted before the next challenge went up. I only could do 2 of them and this is the first one. Here we were on our familymoon (honeymoon) in Turks & Caicos in the Caribbean. What a gorgeous place!! I chose black & white photos so they wouldn't compete too much with colored papers. The huge floral stamp is from Inque Boutique, as well as the bottom corner one. The paper is from a Scarlet Lime Kit. They are awesome kits and you can check them out here.

This layout was the second one I did in only about 30 minutes! Crazy I tell you! This is of my boy Cameron. I used some old school Chatterbox patterned paper, Bazzill Cardstock, Basic Grey chipboard, Fancy Pants chipboard star, American Crafts Alpha Letters, & Cosmo Cricket letter "C". I used the same Chatterbox patterned paper on both the star and letter "C". Very quick & easy! Love it!

This is one of my favorites for sure! This was done for another challenge during NSD weekend at Simply Scrapping Crafts. You had to use as many of 5 techniques as you could. I used all 5 which were rolled paper, starburst flower, distressing, stitching & a really cool flower border at the bottom there. The papers are from My Mind's Eye Penny Lane, flower & swirl stamp from Fancy Pants, border from We R Memory Keepers, title stamps from Unity Stamp Company, & Tim Holtz Distress Ink. Love these colors and this was so fun to do.

This was a really quick card I made again for a Simply Scrapping Crafts challenge. You had to use your favorites and the sentiment had to express love. Everything is my favorite in my craft room so this was a bit difficult to narrow down so, I just kinda closed my eyes and grabbed things that worked! The paper, ribbon & buttons are from a Scarlet Lime kit, butterfly stamp is from Unity Stamp Company, Jewels from K & Company, cardstock of course Bazzill. Great easy card with lots of color!
Well that about wraps it up for now! I hope to do some more yummy stuff this weekend and be able to share by early next week. Have a great Mother's day and we'll chat soon!!! TTFN!

I've been a busy bee!

Hope everyone had a great weekend! Mine was very tiring and busy as usual. My son Cameron had his first soccer game of the season today and he did great! It was nice to get out there and watch him play again. Today was my Hubby's birthday and he spent it working :{ I had lots of time in my craft room this weekend so that was nice for a change. I made a layout based off of a sketch from this really cool site called Let's Scrap over on Ning. It's a challenge site and they have lots of great inspiration to get your mojo flowing! They are having a DT Call over there until April 16th so I thought I would give it a whirl! You can find the sketch and information about the DT Call on the main page of the site.

Below is my take on the sketch. This is of my daughter Finley and when she got her face painted like a butterfly. The title is "Flutter Wonder" and that's the title Finley chose when she saw the layout. I thought it was a great choice! I used Basic Grey Kioshi paper, chipboard flowers from Making Memories, K & Company flower stickers, Inque Boutique butterfly stamp, cut all die cuts on my Quickutz Silhouette. I also used some 3mm Swarovski Crystals for the circle on the bottom left and on the butterfly. I think the papers really bring out her eyes :}

Below is the card I made for my awesome Hubby! Happy Birthday baby! This is for the April 2010 week #1 Card Challenge over at Simply Scrapping Crafts on Ning. It's hard to see, but I made it on a clear transparency background. I used American Crafts papers, Fancy Pants clear acrylic circle, star & sentiment spot, Unity Stamps, The Stamps Of Life by Stephanie Barnard & Inque Boutique, random buttons, stitching & ribbon. I used a piece of mercerized cotton to tie on the star. Hubby loved his card and then I promptly took it away to get pictures and upload it! LOL!

Well that's it for me for now! I'll be back as soon as I have some more yumminess for you! TTFN!

Some more yumminess!!

Hope everyone's Easter was just fabulous! The weather we have been having the past couple days is just divine! My girls and I are just loving it! My youngest little girl has grown very fond of eating sand, very large amounts of it too! Oh well, it will come out the other end some time right?
I am blogging about a bunch of my layouts & cards that I have done over the past few months to kinda catch up from the little break I took :} Hope you don't mind, but I figure let's get all the past projects out of the way so we can start focusing on the newer stuff I'll be doing and maybe start some really cool challenges!! I give only the best RAKS away over here so you will want to keep your eye on this one baby that's for sure! So, here goes!

I so love this layout below of my baby girl Lilyann, or Pudge as we like to call her. She was 10 months old in these pictures and they are my favorite of her and those baby blue eyes!

I used a Fancy Pants transparency and added some goodies to it like stitching around the photo collage. I used some fabric behind the main photo and made it pop out a bit from the rest of the photos. I used Fancy Pants papers, rubons & crochet flowers with stick pin, Autumn Leaves stamps, American Crafts thickers that I inked up to match better, some Inque Boutique little paisley stamps and little odds and ends from the Fancy Pants collection I used.

The next layout of my daughter Finley used such a neat photo editing technique called color isolation I believe. I took a black & white photo of her and went into my ACDSee Photo Editor and made only the blue of her eyes show through. You take two of the same photo, one color on the bottom and one black & white on top, and lay ontop of each other and then use the eraser tool to erase the area of the top photo to allow the colored portion of the bottom photo to show through. Isn't that neat? Very simple to do and gives a very cool effect! If you happen to try it please do send me a photo of your project so I can see how it turned out :}

I used Daisy D's paper, Making Memories ribbon, Cosmo Cricket chipboard letters hat I painted to match, the large flower, pearls on the letters & butterfly ribbon are from a Scarlet Lime kit, and I used my Quickutz Silhouette to cut all the fancy borders and finally added stitching and my journaling around the outside. Love it!

My boy, my boy, my boy! What can I say, I love my boy! This has to be one of the best photos ever taken of him. He usually runs when he sees the camera, but he was in a good mood this day so I got lucky!
I used pretty much all Basic Grey paper, stamps & letters. I used Daisy D's rubon around the picture and Making Memories brads. Stitched around the outside of the layout and around each square and distressed the edges too. So handsome he is!

This is what a typical lunch time is for Pudge....all over the place! How can you not love that face though! This is what happens to her lunch when she is done, or she just doesn't want it, take your pick.

I used Cosmo Cricket papers, Fancy Pants rubons, and cut the borders with my Quickutz Silhouette. Love to layer everything and give it dimension as much as possible. I'm a very visual person so there must be lots of color & texture! Yummy!

That's all I'm gonna do tonight but, don't despair I'll be back with some yummy stuff again soon! Oh, and a little something exciting if your a fan of Glitz Designs, they are having a small little DT call! Check it out here! You bet I'm going to apply because I'm no fool! Love them! Again, check out Scrapbook Challenges over on Ning too for some great inspiration, as well as Simply Scrapping on Ning too! Lots of great challenges and a great group of ladies over there too! I'm off now to create and hope you all have a great night! TTFN!

Been a long while....

Since my last post, but I had to take a break and catch up on life for a bit. I'm back in the swing of things and can't wait to show you some of what I've been up to lately. Been having alot of fun doing some challenges over at Simply Scrapping Crafts.com. It's a great site with lots of challenges to keep you inspired. You can check it out here. On to the good stuff!

The layout below is of my son Cameron and his "Cat That Ate The Canary" smile he always gives. You know he's done something wrong if you get this smile that's for sure!

I used everything from the Scarlet Lime January 2010 kit here. Love her kits! You gotta check them out because they rock!

Below is a layout I just did for a color challenge over at Simply Scrapping and I think it turned out pretty good. It's of my dog Shank, who we love so much. The name shank was given to him by his previous owners, not one we would have chosen, but we call him Doodles instead. I used another Scarlet Lime kit mostly from May 2009 kit here. Isn't he adorable! This is the best picture I've ever been able to get of him because he's really scared of the camera for some reason.

Below is a card I did for another challenge over at Simply Scrapping for a color challenge. I used scraps of My Mind's Eye, Prima flower, I think the stamp was The Stamps Of Life With Stephanie Barnard located here called Thanks2you, Die cut border, sentiment spot & card base all done with my Quickutz Silhouette. Love the colors on this card and hope to be able to paint the inside of my house some of these colors. So bright and cheerful!
That's it for right now, but I'll be back tonight or tomorrow with more goodies to share! Another great challenge site is Scrapbook Challenges and they are a group of really nice girls. They are having a DT Call right now and the link above will take you there, but you will need to sign up and become a member to check it out on Ning. Also, don't forget to go and check out Simply Scrapping also on Ning for awesome challenges and great inspiration! Hope everyone had an awesome Easter! TTFN!
